Primary Care Leadership Track

Why Primary Care

The State of Connecticut and its citizens are in dire need of effective and accessible Primary Care. While the state is graced by a large number of physicians, the general population is aging, and so is our current physician workforce who is approaching retirement age. Plus, health disparities and access issues persist in rural and urban areas. All these factors make it imperative that we train more primary care doctors, expand the footprint of health care, and prepare these new physicians with the skills to allow them to flourish.
